VIP Cinemas and Evening Fountains

Uptown Mall is the centerpiece of Megaworld's Uptown Bonifacio township in the northern section of BGC. It caters to a trendy, high-spending demographic, featuring international retail brands, a high-end food hall, and the VIP Cinema which offers reclining seats and unlimited popcorn. Honestly, the outdoor plaza area with its fire-and-water fountain show is a major draw, especially during weekend evenings when families gather to watch the choreography.

The mall is connected to Uptown Parade, which is a major nightlife hub housing popular bars and clubs like The Palace. The dining options here are very diverse, with many trendy cafes and restaurants open late into the night. It's a great place to hang out, but it can get very crowded on weekends, making restaurant queues long and parking difficult to find. The security guards are strict about camera equipment, so keep your photos smartphone-only unless you have a permit.

Commuting to BGC's Northern Corner

Commuting to Uptown Bonifacio is notoriously challenging. The mall is located in the northern corner of BGC, which is a long walk from the main MRT-3 Ayala Station. Commuters usually take the BGC Bus (North Route) from Ayala or Guadalupe, or ride a jeepney to Market! Market! and then take a taxi or walk. Traffic around Uptown is heavily congested during rush hour, especially along Kalayaan Avenue and 9th Avenue, so ridesharing can be slow and expensive. During heavy rains, the roads exit routes out of BGC bottleneck quickly, so it's best to wait out the storm in a cafe.
