Roller Coasters and Sub-Zero Fun

Star City has been a staple of Manila's family entertainment scene for decades. After surviving a major fire in 2019 and the pandemic closures, the park rebuilt and reopened with a mix of classic rides and new indoor attractions. It features roller coasters, water rides, a giant Ferris wheel, and Snow World—an indoor freezing-cold attraction with real ice slides. Honestly, it's a great place to visit if you have kids or want a nostalgic trip down memory lane, though the weekend lines can get ridiculously long.

The park has both indoor and outdoor sections, which is great because you can hide from the afternoon heat or rain in the indoor arcade and smaller rides. The food stalls serve standard amusement park fare like hotdogs, burgers, and cotton candy, which are decent but overpriced. Be prepared for a very loud, high-energy environment with music and screaming riders everywhere. Make sure to wear socks if you plan to try the ice slides in Snow World, as closed shoes are mandatory.

Vito Cruz Jeepneys and Parking Mud

Getting to Star City by public transit is relatively simple. Take the LRT-1 to Vito Cruz Station, then ride one of the orange CCP jeepneys that drop off directly near the park entrance. Commuter tip: The jeepneys can get crowded and hot, and Vito Cruz traffic during rush hour is terrible. If you prefer to drive, there is a large paid parking lot outside the park, but it gets muddy during heavy rains and fills up quickly on weekends, so arriving early is a must.
