Avoiding the EDSA Madness

Estancia Mall at Capitol Commons is a breath of fresh air if you are tired of the claustrophobic Ortigas mall crowd. Getting here during rush hour is definitely tricky because Meralco Avenue and Shaw Boulevard get completely blocked by bumper-to-bumper traffic. So, honestly, the smart move is to use the MRT-3 and get off at Shaw Boulevard Station. From there, you can hop on a jeepney heading to Pasig Quiapo and ask the driver to drop you off at Capitol Commons. If you are feeling lazy, just grab a Grab car, but prepare to wait a while if it is raining. Walking from the MRT is technically possible, but the Pasig heat can be pretty brutal, so maybe save your energy for the food.

Premium Flavors and Coffee Connoisseurs

The dining layout at Estancia is split between the main mall and the Estancia Extension. If you want high-quality Japanese cuisine, head straight to the lower ground floor of the extension where you can find Yabu or Kiwami Food Hall, which serves amazing katsu and ramen. For something sweet, the cafes here are top-tier. Honestly, UCC Clockwork is great for studying because they have plenty of power outlets and a quiet, laid-back atmosphere.

Anyway, what makes Estancia stand out is how walkable the Capitol Commons park is. After a heavy dinner, you can just stroll around the grassy park outside to digest your meal, which is a rare luxury in Metro Manila. Just a heads up, parking is a bit expensive compared to other Pasig malls, but the lack of crowds makes every peso completely worth it.
