Manila's Best Open-Air Mall

High Street is essentially an outdoor shopping and dining strip that runs between Two BGC and The Podium. It was designed to look like a European boulevard, with cobblestone paths, wrought-iron lampposts, and buildings with classic proportions. On a good night, with the string lights overhead and the outdoor seating full of people, it genuinely pulls it off.

The dining is the main draw. High Street has more restaurants per square meter than almost any other spot in BGC, ranging from mid-range casual to high-end. You'll find everything from steak houses and sushi bars to craft beer pubs and dessert cafes. The variety is impressive, and the quality is generally higher than what you'd find in a traditional indoor mall.

There's also a cinema, a few retail shops, and a public park at the center with a water feature. It's one of the few places in BGC where you can actually sit outside for extended periods without it feeling uncomfortable. The key is to go in the evening, preferably after 6 PM when the lights come on and the energy picks up.

The People-Watching Capital

High Street is arguably the best people-watching spot in Metro Manila. The demographic mix is notable: young professionals, expats, couples on dates, and families with young kids. It's one of the few places in Manila where the fashion is genuinely interesting and you'll see more than just gym clothes and flip-flops.

Parking can be a nuisance on weekends, so arriving early or using ride-hailing apps is the sensible approach. If you're looking for a more relaxed alternative, McKinley Hill's town center offers a similar experience but with more space and fewer crowds. High Street wins on variety and energy. McKinley Hill wins on atmosphere and breathing room.
